Summer Skin Tips

Finally! The sun has made an appearance – so what should you be doing with your skin during the summer months?

Sun Safety

SPF is essential every day, but during summer it’s especially important. SPF protects your skin from UV damage, reduces signs of ageing, and minimises hyperpigmentation. We have something for everyone in clinic, and with our new tester bar, you can try before you invest, to make sure it’s the right one for you.

Top Tips:

- Pick up a mist SPF to make reapplication even easier

- Reapply every 2 hours in times of maximum exposure

- Don’t forget your neck, ears, chest and hair parting!

- Avoid the sun/seek shade during peak hours (10am – 2pm)

- Add a visor, hat and cover ups for extra protection

Hydrate!

Keeping your skin hydrated is essential. Drink plenty (include some water in there too!) and face mists throughout the day can help keep your skin barrier happy. A hypochlorous spray is great for breakout prone, sensitive or irritated skin and you can pick up FDA approved Hypo21 in clinic, or the viral Baby Spray from Boots.

Switch up your skincare

With the warmer weather, your winter moisturisers might feel a little too heavy. Switch up to a lighter moisturiser like the PCA Skin Collagen Hydrator (£45) available in clinic. If your skin is feeling a little more sensitive, reduce your exfoliating products and add extra hydration with a facial mist like Hypo21, available in clinic.

The SkinCeuticals range of Hydrating serums is a great summer switch-up – you can add a moisturiser on top, but you don’t have to. You can just go straight to your SPF for a super light, hydrating routine.

Hydrating B5 Serum - £80

HA Intensifier - £105

Phyto Corrective Serum - £72

Treatments

Avoiding the sun can be tricky, so you may want to avoid microneedling and chemical peels through the warmer months. Switch up your treatment routine with skin boosters, LED facials and medi facials, so you can still get glowing skin without downtime.
