Chemical Peels FAQ’s

  • For some peels, yes. There can be mild dryness, flaking or peeling for 3 – 7 days. All peels include an aftercare kit which contains a gentle creamy cleanser, moisturiser and SPF. If you specifically want a treatment with no downtime at all, we do have options for that too!

  • A course of treatment is often recommended for maximum efficiency of results, but results can often be seen after just one treatment.

Chemical peels are usually carried out every 4 – 6 weeks, and offered in a course of 3, 4 or 6 treatments.

Chemical Peels

We have a range of chemical peels from PCA Skin and SkinCeuticals. The peels range in depth from very superficial, with no downtime, to deeper prescription peels which can have 5 – 7 days of peeling and dryness. Peels can be tailored to your skin type, concern, and desired results. You may be advised to have a period of pre-treatment skincare before going ahead with treatments. This is to make sure your skin barrier is ready for treatment, and you don’t have any adverse effects from treatment.
