NCTF & Polynucleotides – A regenerative skin treatment

Growing in popularity, you might have heard about polynucleotides. What are they, what do they do, and how can they boost your skin health and appearance?

Polynucleotide treatments focus on regenerative skin health. They are made up nucleotides, building blocks of DNA and RNA. When injected under the skin, these skin boosters improve texture, elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles and boost hydration. They promote collagen production and fibroblast proliferation and have great anti–inflammatory properties to reduce redness, promote healing and improve signs of skin damage. This means It is suitable for patients with rosacea and sensitised skin. The product also acts on the melanogenesis pathway, reducing and improving hyperpigmentation. The result is dewy, brighter, tighter, younger looking skin.

FAQs

Who is It for?

Polynucleotide treatments work for everyone, and for all skin types. Ideal for those looking for an improved appearance of the skin, reduced fine lines, or for those who want treatment without going down the traditional injectable route of fillers and toxins. Polynucleotides can also be used alongside your normal injectables. The treatment cannot be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Does it hurt?

NCTF: The product is delivered using a Nanoneedle™ - a hub with 3 tiny needles, to deliver the product at the perfect depth every time. It is largely pain free, but you may feel a sharp scratch in some areas such as the inner corner of the eye, or around the mouth.

Polynucleotides: The product is delivered with either a small needle, or cannula, depending on the area being treated. Numbing cream is applied to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible.

How long is the treatment?

The treatment starts with a gentle cleanse and chemical peel, using gluconalactone. The product is then applied to the selected area, and finished with a B3 recovery cream. Overall, the treatment takes around 30 – 45 minutes. DermaLux LED can be added to the end of your treatment, for an additional £25 per session, taking the treatment time to an hour.

Where can it be used?

NCTF is most commonly used in the BeautifEye & Nutri – Neck protocol, to treat the area around the eyes and the neck. However, you can select any area you like to be treated, including the face, neck, chest and hands.

Polynucleotide can be used for the face, neck, eyes, chest, hands, legs, arms and stomach - almost anywhere, even now being used for intimate female rejuvenation.

How long does it last?

For best results, we recommend a course of 3 treatments, 2 weeks apart. A booster treatment is then recommended every 4 – 6 months.

How long do results take?

The product is delivered below the skin, and works on a cellular level. It can take up to 3 months to see optimum results. This is because the cells take time to utilise the active ingredients and complete the regenerative process.

How much does it cost?

NCTF: A course of 3 treatments is £450. Booster treatments are £150 per session. DermaLux LED add – ons are £25 per session.

Polynucleotides: A course of 3 treatments is £750. Booster treatments are £250 per session. Dermalux LED add - ons are £25 per session. For large or multiple treatment areas, and additional syringe of product may be needed.

An additional syringe can be added for £125 per session.

What are the risks?

You may experience some redness and puffiness around the treated areas, with small blebs raised on the skin. The blebs usually settle within 1 – 24 hours. Redness and swelling usually settles quickly, but rarely may last for a few days.

What is the difference between NCTF & Polynucleotide Treatment?

NCTF is a skin treatment containing some polynucleotides. It is purely man - made and contains no animal products. It also has other skin boosting ingredients such as glutathione and niacinamide.

Pure polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA (typically from salmon or trout gonads!) and contain a higher concentration of pure polynucleotide for more noticeable skin regeneration.
